Laser Treatment for Anal Fissures
An anal fissure is a small tear or cut in the lining of the anal canal. It is typically caused by passing hard stools and causes sharp, severe pain during and after bowel movements, accompanied by streaks of bright red blood. Chronic fissures can lead to severe muscle spasms of the internal anal sphincter, which reduces blood flow and prevents the tear from healing naturally.
